Apple iPhone

Apple iPhone

Apple is hiring engineers to work in next generation mobile processors. The current iPhone runs on ARMv6, which is considered to be a little setback to iPhone since its competitors have moved to ARMv7. Apple gave disguised reference when it introduced new softwares for iPhone, that failed to work concurrently with other third party applications.

If Apple switches to ARMv7 for its iPhone, it will give clock speed to 600Mhz from the 400Mhz (from ARMv6). This will help iPhone run multiple applications run in parallel, which is one great feature that all smartphones posses.

Apart from iPhone, Apple may use the new mobile processor for its existing products or may bring in new products (netbook etc.,). I will be one of the Apple enthusiastic, to try the Apple gadget in the product.
